The Kayumixtax Eco-Office Will:

• Protect our environment and natural resources
• Protect and promote traditional interactions with our ecosystem
• Be respectful of our environment

Goals

• Protect & promote our traditional subsistence lifestyle
• Protect and maintain our land, sea and air quality
• Combine traditional ecological knowledge and wisdom with western science
• Foster education for our community members in the continuing care and use of our land, sea air and wildlife
• Secure sources of funding to support our department and its activities and to increase employment
• Manage all local subsistence activities
• Develop and maintain a system to monitor and record traditional & ecological activities
• Be the central point of contact on issues regarding the environment and natural resources

• To protect and conserve our environment and natural resources for future generations

Vision

Enhance partnerships with all entities to optimize tribal members education and participation in all tribal programs
